Why should your dog ride in a car seat?

Give your dog the gift of safety and yourself some peace of mind! With a car seat, you are no longer distracted by your dog jumping around, falling off the seat and getting injured with a sudden stop. Our car seats will provide your pet
a comfortable and safe spot to call his own. They also help to minimize or eliminate carsickness because your dog is secure and he can see outside. No more arguments about who gets to hold your dog while riding in the car - he rides in his own seat with his own seatbelt just like all passengers.

How is the car seat secured in the car?

Your car seatbelt holds the dog car seat in place and your dog will be held firmly in place by a strap that attaches from the seat belt to his harness. You may use a regular harness or a harness with more chest coverage as shown below. Harnesses are sold separately. To avoid airbag injury, it is recommended that all car seats are secured in the back seat.

Which size is best for my dog?

We offer car seats in three sizes: for pets up to 18 pounds, up to 25 pounds and up to 30 pounds. See dimensions below.

The Lookout II - available in two sizes - up to 18lbs or up to 25lbs

The Lookout II is like the original Lookout but, for added value, has a pull-out tray at the bottom to hold food and water dishes, toys, chews, leash. Monogram on the flap covering the tray is offered, 10 spaces maximum. (medium luxury lookout 2 in herringbone ultrasuede)

The Buddy Lookout -
for 2 pets or one up to 30 pounds total

"The Buddy" Lookout is built for 2 or more small pets with a pull-out tray at the bottom, like the Lookout II. This is the perfect booster seat for small pets that like to ride with you in the car and see out the car window!
Comfortable foam form
Lambs wool interior with nylon quilt exterior secured to foam body with elastic
Remove the outer quilt and interior faux lambs wool to wash it.

The Buddy Pet Car Seat makes it easier on you to care for the pets' needs on a trip. Costs less than ordering 2 Lookouts. The Buddy is recommended for 2 pets or one up to 30 lbs. total- 19” L x 29” W x 17” H. Requires seatbelt ext. of 44".

Car Safety Harness:

"Keep your dog's joy ride a safe one". This harness is your dog's protection while traveling in a vehicle. These are the only pet harnesses to be crash tested to the same standards as a child safety seat. Thirty (30) lbs. at 30 mph. There is a universal metal buckle that fits into the seat belt receptacle. The harness is manufactured from ballistic nylon for security in use. The vest style harness is for your pet's protection. Patent pending.

Harness available now to use with all car seats shown above. The new universal buckle will be available in September.
